Recreating Gabby Pahinui’s famed backyard kanikapila sessions in Waimānalo, Cyril Pahinui’s, Live From Waimānalo brings viewers to an intimate backyard kanikapila jam sessions with some of the most talented musicians in Hawai‘i continue the family tradition of backyard jams in the Country Community of Waimānalo. This video webisode series also features interviews, talk story sessions and reminiscing about Cyril’s trend-setting father, Gabby Pahinui, one of the island’s true recording legends.
In addition to the music and interviews, Live From Waimānalo, also features ~How Da Stew, a local style cooking and dining experience that brings the audience into these intimate gatherings.
